4-POST FEATURES

Hydraulic Cylinder:  Conforms to NFPA and ANSI B93.15-1981 standards.

Head:  Steel plate, flat and parallel.

Bed:  Steel plate, flat and parallel.

Moving Platen:  Steel plate, flat and parallel.

Columns:  Four (4) columns, shouldered and piloted to hold close tolerance.

Bearings:  Moving platen guided by self-lubricating, graphite impregnated bronze bearings.

Location of Hydraulic Power Unit:  Mounted on floor adjacent to press.

Pump:  High performance balanced vane pumps for quiet, smooth, long lasting operation.

Filter:  A 10-micron return line filter with replaceable element.

Oil Reservoir: A large clean out plate permits easy maintenance.  Fluid Level Sight Gauge, tank filler/breather cap with safety strainer included.

Pressure Gauge: Built in surge protection and needle valve shut off to prolong gauge life

Emergency Stop. Pull to start/Push for all stop button; no ram motion during restarts.

Dual Hand controls.  Anti-tie down and non-repeat dual palm button controls are protected by ring guards.  Ensures safe operation and OSHA code compliance.

Keyed Selector Switch:  Supervisory control of mode selection creates no press motion.

Run Mode:  Both buttons must be depressed simultaneously (within .5 seconds) and held down concurrently to advance ram.  Release of either or both buttons causes ram to stop.

Jog (Inch) Modes:  Depress dual palm buttons to advance ram.  When one or both buttons are released ram stops and hold position.  Further jogging action on buttons “inches” ram.

Stroke Controls:  Ram stroke settings controlled by adjustable proximity sensors.

Pressure control: Adjustable relief valve with pressure reversal (flow) switch.

Programmable Logic Controller:  Control is easily programmed for additional features.

Motor Type: Open Drip-proof “C” face type flanged directly to the pump.

Main Control Cabinet:  NEMA 12 Enclosure includes a combination starter with fusible disconnect and built-in transformer for step-down to 110 volts control circuit.  Conforms to OSHA and eliminates extra wiring for separate control circuit.

Electrics arranged for 460 Volt, 3 Phase, 60 Cycle operation.   Other voltages are available at an additional cost.

Included EQUIPMENT

·      Distance Reversal to set depth of ram stroke for automatic return up.

·      Pressure Reversal to set pressure at which ram returns up automatically.

·      Pre-Slow Down Circuit to set height for changeover from rapid advance speed to pressing speed.

·      Water-Cooled Heat Exchanger:  Water-cooled hydraulic oil cooler to maintain hydraulic oil at optimum operation temperature (about 120oF).  For use under conditions of continuous high production, pressure dwells, and/or ambient temperatures.

·      6” Color Electronic Press Control:  A powerful, compact control for digital control over press functions. Simple, user-friendly system, with keypad or touch screen entry of control functions and set-up parameters.  Closed Loop Pressure Control compensates for temperature variation and allows repeatable accuracy of ± 5%.  Option includes the operator interface and enclosure, fixed pendant mounting to the head of the press, linear transducer, pressure transducer, extra PLC capacity, and an electronic relief valve.

·         Set Digital Top Stop, Slow Down, and Bottom Stop stroke positions.

·         Set Digital Pressure (Tonnage) set points.

·         Counters: non resettable press stroke counter, resettable stroke counter and batch counter

·         Dwell timer, allows adjustable pressure dwells.  Please specify maximum time required.

·         Programmable adjustable electronic speed control.

·         Trend display for Tonnage and Reversal Position; view the last ten (10) cycles.

·         Cycle rate displayed in cycles per minute.

·         Recipe storage.  Stores set-ups for up to 70 recipes on board.  Speeds press setup.

·         Tool Offsets.  Allows the press to be “zeroed” at the close height of the tooling.

·         Diagnostic capability.  All PLC I/O points can be monitored on the screen.

·         Bilingual operation.  Spanish (Mexico) screens duplicate English screens.

Low Oil Level Fault Indicator:  Low oil level will trigger an alarm on the Touch Screen.  The oil level will need to be restored before clearing the alarm.

High Oil Temperature Fault Indicator:  High oil temperature will trigger an alarm on the Touch Screen.  The oil temperature will need to be lowered before clearing the alarm.

Contaminated Oil Filter Fault Indicator:  A clogged filter will trigger a warning indicator on the Touch Screen.

·         Heated Platens:  Provide an upper and lower heated platen capable of 400 degrees F.  Heat time will require one hour prior to running parts.  Heated platens will be insulated from Bed and Moving Platen with insulator pads.  Moving platen height from floor with heated platen will be 41”.  Platens will not have any cooling capabilities.  Each heated platen will have two zones of control.  Separate temperature controllers will be provided for each platen.  Heated platens will use 480 volt heaters.  Each platen will have a total of 14 heaters.

Your investment for Used Press, complete with above described features and controls,

motor and starter.......................................................................................................... $ 97,335.00
