NASHUA, NH U.S.A. (March 1, 2006) – Greenerd Press and Machine Company
Inc. announced that they recently delivered a large-bed hydraulic
compression molding press, featuring the latest in control technology, to a
manufacturer of automotive components in southeastern U.S. Greenerd
custom-designed and built the press, which features a 150" wide x 64"
front-to-back bed with a daylight of 54", a stroke of 36", and ram locks.
In addition to its impressive size, the machine features an Allen Bradley®
PanelView™ Plus 600 Touchscreen control that includes recipe storage,
trending, diagnostics and EtherNet communication, providing the ability to
use a wide range of dies. Multiple parts can be run simultaneously on this
large system. The press is also equipped with a remote power unit with
quick-disconnect hydraulic and electrical connections that make the system
easy to set-up and relocate when necessary – one of the customer's
requirements. For safe operation, the press is guarded with both horizontal
and vertical light curtains.
