GREENERD DESIGNS LARGE, STATE-OF-THE-ART HYDRAULIC COMPRESSION MOLDING PRESS
Machine offers a versatile, efficient solution for a manufacturer of large automotive parts.

NASHUA, NH U.S.A.

Greenerd Press and Machine Company Inc. announced that they recently delivered a large-bed hydraulic compression molding press, featuring the latest in control technology, to a manufacturer of automotive components in southeastern U.S. Greenerd custom-designed and built the press, which features a 150" wide x 64" front-to-back bed with a daylight of 54", a stroke of 36", and ram locks.

In addition to its impressive size, the machine features an Allen Bradley® PanelView™ Plus 600 Touchscreen control that includes recipe storage, trending, diagnostics and EtherNet communication, providing the ability to use a wide range of dies. Multiple parts can be run simultaneously on this large system. The press is also equipped with a remote power unit with quick-disconnect hydraulic and electrical connections that make the system easy to set-up and relocate when necessary – one of the customer's requirements. For safe operation, the press is guarded with both horizontal and vertical light curtains.

Mr. Tim Dining, President of Greenerd, stated "This press will allow our customer to meet production demands with efficiency and flexibility. It is an excellent example of Greenerd's ability to provide large, innovative, engineered-press solutions." From design to final manufacture, Greenerd personnel produced the custom press solution in only fifteen weeks.

Greenerd Presses are available as standard machines or can be designed for custom applications by expert engineers with extensive application experience.
